House of Kindness

Partnerships are growing with two of our local ministries, Love & Care Ministries and Global Samaritan Resources. Resident missionaries serve these two ministries each week in addition to serving in our local communities. We are so blessed to have so many amazing opportunities to serve the people of Abilene.

A group of Iris Abilene ladies had the pleasure of going on a Walk to Emmaus this month. It was a time of discipline (no watches or phones), leaning from the word of God and testimonies, building new friendships, and being lavished by God’s love. The genuine acts of love seen through the carefully planned days and little surprises had an impact on all. Everyone left with new insights, a larger waist size and happy hearts!!

With our first school of the year fast approaching, Catch The Fire Leaders School, we are excited to see what the Lord is going to do among the leaders that are coming. We are so blessed to welcome the Catch The Fire team to impart into this school all that the Lord has planned for us. The school is available as a 3-week package, or participants can choose to come for any combination of the weeks they choose. Information about the school can be found at www.campbarkeley.com.

As we leap into March, Camp Barkeley is very excited to host the Ugandan Kids Choir on March 20th at 7pm. The performance by ten adorable Ugandan children will be followed by light refreshments and a time of fellowship. This is a free event and all are welcome! We would love to see you there!!

We are so thankful for what the Lord is doing in our hearts in the lead up to our school season. The Lord continues to bless us with connections around the world and locally for fellowship, encouragement and to see His Kingdom come here on earth. We sincerely thank you all for your support and prayers. We need each other!
